Favourite Movies?
I think the post title speaks for itself! If there is/are movie(s) that are your favourite, what are they, and why? Right now I have Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, playing in the BG. I can't tell you HOW many years of my life have been dedicated to this movie. I also read the 1st book. Want to read the other 2 as well as the Hobbit. Suprizingly enough, I have only see "Return of the King" Once! In theaters!
I am also a HUGE fan of the Harry Potter series. Read the books (still working on part #5 and #7) I listened to #6 on cd. A great thing I would suggest to people who arent too fond of reading, but want more out of the movies. The books are so much more detailed and wondering, IMO. It isnt too often that you find someone who can make a good movie out of the book. I think LOTR and HP were done well enough tho. Also, a very good movie I would suggest people watch is "Snatch". FREAKING HILARIOUS! Great humor, it might take a few watches to get EVERYTHING the movie offers, how ever. I also hold a secret place in my heart for movies of a few select periods, including middle-age, and also Renaissance and like.... I cant think of the word!Jane Austen period.... I'm pretty sure it starts with an R as well... Regency! Oh I do love it. Anyways, lets swap some movies! Give me some new things to look into. Thanks guys!

Was 'period movies' what you were looking for?
Fav flix - hmm, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Edward Scissorhands, Leaving Las Vegas, Gone in 60 seconds, A Clockwork Orange, Moulin Rouge, Pulp Fiction, True Romance, Reservoir Dogs, Alice in Wonderland, Replacement Killers, House of a Thousand Flying Daggers, Unleashed, Hoosiers, The Crow, Enter the Dragon, hmmm there's too many movies that don't fit into a nice cookie cutter list. My movie taste is kind of like my taste in music, I just sometimes like what it evokes or what i associate with it.

Currently rather entrenched in "The Forsyte Saga" oh of those "Period Movies" Nocturnal so aptly named it. BUT, even better, its a miiiiniiiseries! Hours of fun! ahh the hieght of the 19th centuray british rich drama.

Dennis and I rented a movie yesterday called "Mongol" Its a movie about the rise of Ghengis Khan and I would suggest this to ANYONE who likes high action, intense movies that re-live history! It was fabulous and shines a new light on The Mongol Warlord. It is truely an amazing movie.
